Masticord - ROF

The MASTICORD random oriented fiber (ROF) and rubber composition pad is used primarily in precast concrete commercial structural applications, but is also used in short-span precast concrete bridges and structural steel bearings.

The firm published its original MASTICORD Design Guide in 1982. Product improvements led to a second edition in 1984 and ongoing improvements and testing resulted in a third edition published in 1987.

All research and development of the MASTICORD program has been with the collaboration of Raths, Raths & Johnson structural engineers of Willowbrook, Illinois. The MASTICORD Design Guide continues to be the "bible" of the precast concrete industry.

Benefits:
* Random-oriented Fiber Pad (ROF)
* Especially suited for precast prestressed concrete structures
* Engineered for predictable performance parameters
* High compressive loading capacity - up to 10,000 P.S.I.
* Tough and durable as gaskets, motor mounts, and wear pads in heavy equipment
* Homogeneous composition of rubber mastic reinforced with high strength random fiber cords
* Economical
